Journey into the hive with us as we share this one of a kind experience. Learn about the different types of bees and how they make honey and wax as well as other interesting facts about honeybees. You will suit up in protective gear and open an active hive as we explore the inner workings of a hive together.

We will be joining the Fox Valley Beekeepers for a presentation about our Beekeeping journey and what we have learned along the way as well as hands on demonstration.

For the 8th year in a row ~ we will be teaching “All About Honeybees” class to middle schoolers at All Saints Catholic School in Antigo. This is a 6 week elective class. Students learn about honeybee biology, parts of the hive, inner-workings of the hive. In this class they have the opportunity to come to the Apiary and dive into the hive to see the bees at work. The class also offers the opportunity to extract Honey and make a take home project with beeswax.

As a end of the summer treat - employees at Aspirus Langlade in Antigo WI will have the opportunity to come out to a market during their work day. Fresh produce will be on hand as well as Two Chicks Apiary and other summer time treats.

This week at class we will be extracting Honey. Students will learn how to uncap the frames of Honey and use the hand extractor. Each student will leave with a small jar of honey. This is a 6 week elective class. Students learn about honeybee biology, parts of the hive, inner-workings of the hive. In this class they have the opportunity to come to the Apiary and dive into the hive to see the bees at work. The class also offers the opportunity to extract Honey and make a take home project with beeswax.

For the 8th year in a row ~ we will be teaching “All About Honeybees” class to middle schoolers at All Saints Catholic School in Antigo. This final class student make a take home project with beeswax.
